About Golden Paw
We are a small, family-run Golden Retriever breeding program based in Millersburg, Ohio. Our focus is simple: raise healthy, well-socialized, temperamentally sound Golden Retriever puppies that become outstanding family companions.
Our Story
Golden Paw began with a deep love for the Golden Retriever breed. Over the years we have carefully selected our breeding dogs for excellent health, stable temperaments, and classic Golden Retriever type. Every puppy is raised in our home as part of the family, not in a kennel environment.
We believe the first weeks of a puppy’s life shape the dog they become. That is why our puppies receive daily handling, early neurological stimulation, exposure to household sounds, children, and other pets, and begin basic potty and crate training before they leave us.
Health & Quality
Health is our highest priority. All of our breeding dogs undergo comprehensive health testing, including:
Hip and elbow evaluations (OFA or equivalent)
Eye clearances
Cardiac evaluations
Genetic testing for known breed conditions
Puppies leave us with age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, a veterinary health check, and a written health guarantee. We stand behind every puppy we place.
Our Commitment to You
When you welcome a Golden Paw puppy into your home, you also gain our ongoing support. We are available for questions about training, nutrition, and care long after your puppy goes home. We carefully match each puppy to the right family based on temperament and lifestyle.
We do not mass-produce puppies. We raise limited litters each year so we can give every dog and every family the individual attention they deserve.
Location
We are located in the Millersburg / Holmes County area of Ohio. Visits are by appointment so we can give you our full attention and introduce you properly to the puppies and their parents.
